--The library is open Monday - Friday 7:30 am to 5:00 pm. It may be closed for special programs and events.
--In addition to their information literacy lesson times, ES students may come to the library at lunch time to find books and read quietly. MS and HS students are welcome in the Library whenever they have free time.
--Students are asked not to bring food or uncovered drinks into the library. When exceptions are made, such as during HS exams, students are expected to be respectful.
--Everyone should use the library quietly and respect the learning of others.
Students in the Lower Elementary School visit the library weekly with their homeroom classes. Discovery - Grade 1 students may borrow four books at a time for a two week period.
Students in the Upper Elementary School (grades 2-5) may borrow six books at a time for a two week period. Grades 2, 3, 4 and 5 classes visit the Library weekly with their homeroom teacher.
Students may visit the Library to exchange books before school begins, during their lunch recess time and after school if accompanied by an adult.
Middle and High School students, using their campus cards, may borrow up to ten books for a two week period and may renew books up to four times. Students with overdue books may borrow additional materials with permission. Books that are overdue for a month or more are considered lost and a replacement cost plus processing fee is charged to the student. Students may login to their Destiny accounts to (1) reserve materials that are currently on loan to others, (2) access ebooks and other online resources, (3) create reading lists, (4) write reviews and comments.
Parents of UNIS students, using their own campus cards, may borrow for a period. The materials may be renewed as needed by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org or by requesting renewal at the library circulation desk.
